Service Description

This 4-day, 3-night retreat includes several group walks and hikes to the province’s sacred waterfalls, lakes, mountains, and other waka kuskakuna. Visits to each sacred site include stories and information about their historical, cultural and spiritual significance, time for silent stillness, and a group Andean ceremony, all led by a Kichwa Otavalo yachak (Andean “shaman”). Participants must be in very good health and capable of safely negotiating local terrain with little assistance. Fee includes guided walks and hikes, teachings, storytelling, Andean ceremonies, ten runa mikuy meals, transportation within the Imbabura province, and overnight lodging.
