Hampi Ñan: A Walking Tour to Identify Common Medicinal Plants in Imbabura
Take this easy day hike with an indigenous healer through local fields and hills to identify several common ancestral medicinal plants. Learn how the leaves, roots, seeds, stems and flowers of hampi yurakuna medicinal plants have been prepared and used by Kichwa Otavalo families for centuries. A handout including color images of these plants will be distributed to each participant.
Saturday, October 12, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
$65 fee includes teachings, storytelling, a group Andean ceremony, a pachamanka lunch, round-trip transportation from San Francisco Park in Cotacachi or the Otavalo bus terminal, and a handout including color images of these plants.
